Happy New Moon Monday! A new moon is a perfect symbol of our ever changing pulsation from dark to light. The new moon is a completely dark sky in the lunar phase due to its orbit and position between sun and earth. The moon is there of course but we see no reflection of light.
We learn to trust in what we can’t see. For example, we know that the tiny buds starting on the trees are due to the quickening of energy underground, a deep rooting from the dark soil. We can’t see it but know the source is strong and powerful. As we become more mindful, we see nature showing us her pulsations from dark to light as a cycle like a new day or new season.
As we approach spring, we sense a spark of energy and growing light. Little by little we are nudged into a gentle stirring, a soft breath, a new beginning.
The new moon symbolizes just that, an opportunity to step in, to clear space, to begin again. We slow down a bit, we pause, reflect, and breathe. We decide what to let go of so that we have room to invite in the energy of subtle yet inevitable change. We clear space. Nature is always in transition and cycle, always clearing space and accepting change. Notice the trees, they show us that from the dark, rich soil and deep roots that energy is rising through the trunk to the branches. The tiny buds are from the dark underground of energy. We are all moving from the dark or not knowing, to the light. Trust that all is in transition and cycle.
Have a great week. Try not to cram in too much. Give yourself time to pause and ponder. Enjoy a walk outside and take time to observe and listen. Remember to get to bed early; this is a week to rest more. Be still and know the blessings of growing awareness.
